Cape Pillar is a prominent dolerite headland located on the Tasman Peninsula in southeastern Tasmania, Australia. It features sheer vertical sea cliffs that rise up to 300 meters from the Southern Ocean, ranking among the highest coastal cliffs in the world. The cape and its surrounding cliff faces are composed of Jurassic dolerite, an igneous rock that characterizes much of Tasmania's geology. The area is protected within Tasman National Park and features popular coastal hiking trails that provide access to the cliff edges.
