help Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort FAQ
Is the Hilton Hawaiian Village's beach and lagoon good for small kids?
Yes — the resort fronts Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon, a calm, protected sandy lagoon that's far gentler for toddlers than open ocean, plus a wide stretch of Waikiki beach. Combined with its multiple pools, it's one of the more kid-friendly setups in Waikiki.
What's the Rainbow Tower, and should I request it?
The Rainbow Tower is the resort's iconic high-rise, covered in twin whale-and-rainbow murals that are counted among the world's largest hand-painted murals. Rainbow Tower rooms sit closest to the main pools and face the lagoon and ocean, which is why they command a premium.
Does the Hilton Hawaiian Village still do the Friday night fireworks?
Yes, the Friday evening fireworks over the ocean are a long-standing resort tradition and free to watch from the beach or lagoon. Times shift seasonally and events are occasionally suspended, so confirm with the front desk during your stay.
Can I book the Hilton Hawaiian Village with Hilton Honors points?
Yes, it's a flagship Hilton property, so it's bookable with Hilton Honors points, subject to the dynamic award pricing Hilton uses. The resort spans roughly 22 acres at the quieter end of Waikiki near Fort DeRussy, and certain towers like the Ali'i Tower add lounge access for elite-style perks.
