description HAL HTT-40 Overview
The HAL HTT-40 (Hindustan Turboprop Trainer-40) is an indigenously designed and manufactured Indian basic trainer aircraft developed by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited. It completed its maiden flight in 2016 and is intended to replace the aging fleet of Pilatus PC-7 Mk II aircraft used for initial training. The Indian Air Force has selected the aircraft for a 70-unit order to rebuild its foundational pilot instruction program.
