Haworth Fern

Inspired by the structure of a fern leaf, the Haworth Fern uses a flexible back with a central stem and supporting fronds. Its Wave Suspension system allows different parts of the backrest to respond to movement, creating a less rigid feel than a fixed back shell. This adaptive back support is the chair's defining feature and suits people who change position frequently while working. Seat-depth adjustment and available four-dimensional arms help tailor the working position.

Configurations can include a headrest and additional lumbar support, while upholstery choices give the chair different visual and tactile qualities. The available back-stop mechanism provides five positions, rather than three. Although the back responds without the sitter adjusting every individual support element, the chair still needs appropriate setup.
