IKEA TIPHEDE Rug, flatwoven

IKEA lists TIPHEDE as 100% cotton with a flatwoven construction. That low profile is useful beside a bed, under light furniture, or where a thick pile would catch on a door. [IKEA product page](https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/tiphede-rug-flatwoven-natural-black-40592825/)

Yes, IKEA's care instructions say to machine wash it warm on a normal cycle, line dry it, and expect maximum shrinkage of 10%. IKEA also recommends vacuuming and rotating the rug regularly. [IKEA care instructions](https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/tiphede-rug-flatwoven-natural-black-40592825/)

The U.S. IKEA listing for the natural and black version measures 1 foot 8 inches by 2 feet 7 inches, about 4.31 square feet. Other markets and colors sell different sizes, including a 120 by 180 centimeter version, so check the product number before ordering. IKEA says you need one STOPP anti-slip underlay for the listed rug, especially on smooth floors. TIPHEDE can be used over different floor types, but the underlay helps keep the flatwoven cotton rug from sliding.
