description 55 Cancri c Overview

55 Cancri c is a confirmed Neptune-class exoplanet orbiting the G-type star 55 Cancri, also known as Copernicus. Radial-velocity observations identified it in 2002 as the second planet in the system then known, and its orbit takes about 44 days at a distance of approximately 0.24 astronomical units. It lies between the system's innermost hot planet and its more distant giant planets, forming part of a multi-planet architecture.
