description K2-3 d Overview

K2-3 d is a transiting exoplanet orbiting K2-3, a nearby cool M-dwarf star. It was identified from observations by NASA’s K2 mission and has a radius in the super-Earth range, larger than Earth but smaller than Neptune. Its orbital period is about 45 days, placing it near the region where temperatures may permit liquid water under suitable atmospheric conditions, although the planet’s actual atmosphere and surface environment are not known.
