A Beautiful Mind Screenplay

The screenplay is based on the life of John Forbes Nash Jr., a mathematician who made groundbreaking contributions to game theory before developing paranoid schizophrenia. Akiva Goldsman adapted Sylvia Nasar's 1998 biography of the same name, which was a Pulitzer Prize finalist. Nash eventually recovered enough to resume his academic work and was awarded the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences in 1994.
