Alan Krueger was an American economist whose research focused on labor markets, education, income distribution, and the economic effects of public policy. A professor at Princeton University, he also served as chair of the United States Council of Economic Advisers during the Obama administration. With David Card, he used employment data from New Jersey and Pennsylvania restaurants to study how a minimum-wage increase affected employment.
