Alston's mouse opossum (Marmosa alstoni) is a didelphid marsupial of Central and northern South America. It is a medium-sized, pouchless opossum that lives in forests from Belize through Panama to northern Colombia. The species is primarily nocturnal and arboreal, using forest vegetation for movement and shelter rather than living mainly on open ground. It is studied as part of the diverse Neotropical mouse-opossum group.
