It still includes the wide FootShape toe box, however.

How does the cushioning in the Experience Wild compare to the Altra Lone Peak?

The Altra Experience Wild is equipped with a thicker layer of Altra EGO midsole foam, offering much softer and more protective cushioning than the Lone Peak. While the Lone Peak is famed for its ground feel, the Experience Wild is designed to absorb heavy impacts on rocky trails. This makes it an excellent option for ultra-distance trail runners seeking joint protection.
