Armagh Cathedral

description Armagh Cathedral Overview

St Patrick's Cathedral in Armagh is the seat of the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Armagh and the primatial cathedral of the Roman Catholic Church in Ireland. Built in Gothic Revival style on a hill overlooking Armagh, it was constructed in stages between 1840 and 1904. It should not be confused with the older Church of Ireland cathedral, also dedicated to Saint Patrick, on a separate hill in the city.
