Bathyteuthis berryi is a small bathypelagic squid in the family Bathyteuthidae, described by Roper in 1968. It is known from the eastern North Pacific off southern California, where it has been captured in open nets between about 800 and 1,200 metres; its mantle reaches roughly 50 millimetres. The species is notable for documented egg brooding, with females carrying a gelatinous sheet of embryos in their arms while swimming at deep-water depths.
