[Blackbelly rosefish](https://www.fishbase.se/summary/Helicolenus-dactylopterus.html) (*Helicolenus dactylopterus*) is a marine ray-finned fish in the scorpionfish family, Scorpaenidae. It has a robust, spiny body, a large bony head, a dark mouth and gill cavity, and reddish coloration with darker bars on the sides. The species lives on the seafloor from the eastern and western Atlantic, including the Mediterranean, and is caught in fisheries in parts of its range.
