description Bonnia Overview

Bonnia is an extinct genus of Middle Cambrian trilobites known from marine rocks in North America. Its fossils occur in Laurentian sequences and have been used with other trilobites to compare the relative ages of Cambrian sedimentary layers. Bonnia is of interest to paleontologists studying the evolution of ptychopariid trilobites, as well as to collectors working with Cambrian fossils from the western United States.
