help BOYA BY-LM10 FAQ
What devices is the BOYA BY-LM10 lavalier microphone compatible with?
It's a compact lavalier aimed at mobile and on-the-go recording, and BOYA sells its budget lavs in different connector variants for phones versus cameras. Checking whether your specific unit is the smartphone or camera version before buying is the key step.
Does the BOYA BY-LM10 handle outdoor wind noise?
It ships with a built-in windscreen over the capsule, which tames light breeze and breath noise for outdoor interviews and vlogs. In strong wind, videographers typically add a foam or fur cover on top.
How do you attach the BY-LM10 when recording?
It includes a clip mechanism so you can fasten it to a shirt collar, lapel or strap. Positioning it roughly 15–20cm from the mouth gives the clearest, most consistent voice pickup.
How does the BY-LM10 compare with BOYA's popular BY-M1?
BOYA's best-known lavalier is the BY-M1, which has an extra-long (around 6-meter) cable so it works for both phones and cameras at distance. The BY-LM10 is the shorter, more pocketable option for close-up mobile recording.
