description Brahin Overview
Brahin is a main-group pallasite meteorite associated with finds near Brahin, in present-day Belarus. Its cut surfaces characteristically show translucent olivine crystals embedded in an iron-nickel metal matrix, the defining structure of pallasites. Multiple masses have been recovered from the region, and specimens are studied to investigate metal-silicate relationships and the formation history of differentiated bodies in the early Solar System.
