description Broken Arch Overview
Broken Arch is a sandstone arch in Arches National Park in southeastern Utah. A prominent crack runs through the rock near its span, giving the formation the appearance of a break even though the arch remains standing. Like the park’s other named arches, it was shaped by long-term weathering and erosion of Entrada Sandstone.
