Burnum Amphitheatre

description Burnum Amphitheatre Overview

The Burnum Amphitheatre is an ancient Roman military arena located near the village of Ivoševci in inland Dalmatia, Croatia. Constructed in the 1st century AD, the structure was carved directly into the natural karst rock by the Legio XI Claudia and Legio IIII Flavia Felix. It once served as a training and entertainment venue for the Roman legions stationed at the Burnum military camp.
