Bursfelde Abbey is a Benedictine monastery located on the Weser River in Lower Saxony, Germany, originally founded in 1093. It is most notable for lending its name to the Bursfeld Union, an influential monastic reform movement of the 15th century that sought to restore stricter discipline and observance. The abbey served as the spiritual center for this network of reformed monasteries across northern Germany.
