Carlisle Bay is a sheltered marine inlet located on the southwestern coast of Barbados, immediately south of the capital city, Bridgetown. The bay historically functioned as the primary anchorage for British colonial shipping and defense, and its underwater environment contains historical artifacts such as old anchors and cannon. It is currently designated as a protected marine park and contains several deliberately scuttled shipwrecks, making it a highly visited site for scuba divers and snorkelers.
