description Cause for Alarm! Overview

Cause for Alarm! is a 1951 American suspense film directed by Tay Garnett and released by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. Loretta Young plays a wife whose dangerously jealous and bedridden husband writes a letter accusing her of plotting his death, then dies after the letter has entered the postal system. Much of the tension comes from her desperate attempt to retrieve it within an outwardly ordinary suburban setting.

The film is in the public domain in the United States.
