Yes. Neocaridina davidi completes its entire life cycle in freshwater, so its larvae do not require a saltwater stage. A female carries visible eggs under her abdomen until miniature shrimp hatch.
Will fish eat cherry shrimp?
Many fish will eat newborn shrimp, and larger fish may attack adults as well. Dense Java moss, rock crevices, and other cover improve survival, while shrimp-only tanks produce the largest colonies.
