help Cisco CCNA FAQ

Which exam do I need to pass for the current CCNA?

The certification is earned by passing Cisco exam 200-301 CCNA. The current v1.1 blueprint covers network fundamentals, network access, IP connectivity, IP services, security fundamentals, and automation.

Do I need networking experience or another Cisco certification first?

Cisco does not require a prerequisite certification for 200-301. Practical familiarity with subnetting, VLANs, routing, wireless networks, access control, and Cisco IOS commands is still important.

How much automation and programming appears on the CCNA?

Automation and programmability are a defined part of the v1.1 blueprint alongside traditional routing and switching. Candidates should understand concepts such as controller-based networking, APIs, JSON, and configuration management, but the CCNA is not a software-development exam.
