Citizen Eco-Drive Chronograph Automatic

You operate the chronograph using the pushers located on the right side of the watch case, typically at the 2 and 4 o'clock positions. The top pusher starts and stops the central sweeping seconds hand, while the bottom pusher resets the recorded time back to zero.

Once fully charged by exposure to light, an Eco-Drive chronograph movement can typically run in complete darkness for six months on a standard power reserve. Some models feature a power-saving mode that extends this reserve up to several years if the hands are stopped.

If the hands on the subdials become misaligned after a battery drop, you can recalibrate them using the watch's hidden reset function. This is usually done by pulling the crown out to a specific position and pressing the chronograph pushers to manually realign the hands to zero.

While it will not damage the movement, leaving the chronograph function running continuously will drain the power reserve noticeably faster than standard timekeeping. To maximize the charge, it is best practice to only use the chronograph pushers when you are actively timing an event.
