Citrus leafminer is the common name for Phyllocnistis citrella, a minute moth in the family Gracillariidae and a pest of citrus and related plants in the rue family, Rutaceae. Its larvae live inside young leaves and create winding, silvery mines as they feed, often causing curling and reduced leaf growth; pupation occurs near the leaf margin. The species originated in Asia and has spread through citrus-growing regions in Africa, Australia, the Americas, and other warm areas.
