Dafnoudi

Dafnoudi is on the northern tip of Kefalonia, one of the Ionian Islands of Greece, near the harbor village of Fiscardo. It sits on a stretch of coast backed by pine and cypress forest. The closest major island airport is Kefalonia International Airport, near Argostoli, roughly 50 kilometers to the south.

There is no paved road to the beach, so most visitors walk from a parking area near Fiscardo for about 15–20 minutes along a dirt track through the forest. Alternatively, small boats from Fiscardo harbor sometimes drop visitors at the cove during the summer season. Sturdy footwear is recommended for the path.

Dafnoudi is a pebble beach with crystal-clear water surrounded by dense pine and cypress trees. There are no organized facilities such as sunbeds or tavernas on the beach itself, so visitors should bring water and shade. The setting is one of the most pristine on northern Kefalonia.

Because there is no paved access and no amenities, Dafnoudi remains much quieter than the famous beaches of southern Kefalonia such as Myrtos or Antisamos. In peak August days you may share the cove with a handful of other swimmers, especially in the morning. Boats from Fiscardo can briefly raise numbers in the afternoon.
