Double Fischer Random Chess

description Double Fischer Random Chess Overview

Double Fischer Random Chess is a variant of Fischer Random Chess (Chess960) in which the two players' back ranks are randomized independently of one another. Unlike standard Chess960, where both sides start with mirrored positions, this produces asymmetric starting setups. The variant substantially increases the number of possible opening positions beyond the 960 used in Fischer Random Chess.
