description Duke Overview

"Duke" is the tenth studio album by the English progressive rock band Genesis, released in March 1980 on the Atlantic and Charisma labels. The album reached number one on the UK Albums Chart and produced three singles that charted in the United States: "Misunderstanding," "Turn It On Again," and "Duchess." It was the first Genesis album to place singles on the US Billboard Hot 100. "Duke" represents a shift toward shorter, more accessible song structures compared to the extended compositions of the band's earlier progressive rock output.
