Eos

description Eos Overview

Eos is the Greek goddess and personification of the dawn, daughter of the Titans Hyperion and Theia, and sister to Helios (the sun) and Selene (the moon). Each morning, she rises from the edge of Oceanus to open the gates of heaven for her brother Helios, creating the morning dew in her wake. In Greek mythology, Eos was known for her numerous love affairs with mortals, including the Trojan prince Tithonus, whom she asked Zeus to make immortal but forgot to request eternal youth for, causing him to age indefinitely.
