It is known in English as the Small Blue-legged Grasshopper and has a Palaearctic distribution extending from parts of Europe into temperate Asia. Records describe it in alkaline grasslands near marshes, including habitats in the Pannonian lowlands, where it is found in open, low-lying grassland.
