Eros Bendato

description Eros Bendato Overview

Eros Bendato, also known as Eros Bound, is a monumental bronze sculpture by Polish artist Igor Mitoraj, created in 1999. It depicts the fragmented head of Eros, the Greek god of love, with the eyes and mouth covered by bands, combining imagery from classical antiquity with the appearance of damage and restraint. A large version lies on its side in Krakow's Main Market Square, where visitors can walk around and enter the hollow interior of the head.
