Fengyun-3B (FY-3B) is a Chinese polar-orbiting meteorological satellite launched in 2010 to support weather forecasting, climate monitoring, and environmental research. As the second operational satellite in the Fengyun-3 series, it expanded China's capabilities in atmospheric sounding and ozone layer observation. Operated by the China Meteorological Administration, the satellite utilizes a suite of remote sensing instruments to collect global temperature, moisture, and cloud cover data.
