description Fleur de thé Overview

Fleur de thé is a three-act opéra-bouffe by French composer Charles Lecocq, first staged in Paris in 1868. The work belongs to the nineteenth-century French comic-opera tradition and uses a Chinoiserie setting, a European theatrical style built around imagined Chinese characters and customs.
