FlexBell Adjustable Dumbbell

The FlexBell is a selectorized dial-adjustable dumbbell designed to replace multiple fixed-weight dumbbells with a single unit. Common configurations cover ranges such as 5 to 50 lbs per dumbbell, adjustable in small increments via the integrated dial mechanism.

Both use a dial-based selector system to change weight quickly, but the FlexBell features a round profile meant to mimic the feel of fixed pro-style dumbbells, while the Bowflex SelectTech 552 has a more angular shape. The round FlexBell design can roll on the floor, which is something to consider during floor-based exercises.

The round profile of the FlexBell makes exercises like renegade rows trickier because the dumbbell may roll when you place your hand on it for support. Many users compensate by using a wedge accessory or by choosing flat-sided adjustable dumbbells for stability-critical floor movements.

The dial selector mechanism is engineered for regular home-gym use, but like all adjustable dumbbells, the FlexBell should not be dropped after sets. Dropping can damage the internal weight plates and selector pins, so users should place them back in the cradle gently between exercises.
