Flos Snoopy Table Lamp

The lamp was designed in 1967 by the famous Italian brothers Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni. It was created specifically for the prestigious Italian lighting manufacturer FLOS. It remains one of their most recognizable and enduring designs.

It consists of a heavy white Carrara marble base supporting a painted metal shade. The thick glass disk resting on the base helps to diffuse the light. The contrast between the cool, luxurious marble and the playful metal shade is central to its design.

The lamp's shade is shaped to suggest the profile of Charles Schulz's cartoon beagle, Snoopy. The rounded, pebble-like form perfectly mimics the beloved Peanuts character's head. The playful name reflects the mid-century embrace of pop culture in high design.

While originally designed for incandescent bulbs, modern versions of the Flos Snoopy Lamp have been updated to use integrated LED technology. This provides a cooler touch and a longer lifespan for the fixture. The LED update also ensures consistent, energy-efficient lighting for reading.
