Fraser River Delta

The delta is located in British Columbia, Canada, where the Fraser River meets the Strait of Georgia. It sits directly south of the major metropolitan city of Vancouver.

The delta's extensive mudflats and wetlands serve as a critical staging habitat for millions of migratory birds traveling along the Pacific Flyway. It is considered one of the most important ecosystems for birds on the entire West Coast.
