French July Revolution

description French July Revolution Overview

The French July Revolution, also called the July Revolution of 1830 or the Three Glorious Days, was a three-day insurrection in Paris from 27 to 29 July. It was triggered by King Charles X's July Ordinances, which restricted the press and altered the electoral system, and it led to his abdication. The Chamber of Deputies then invited Louis Philippe, Duke of Orléans, to become King of the French under a revised constitutional charter, beginning the July Monarchy.
