Fulham Pottery

description Fulham Pottery Overview

Fulham Pottery was an English pottery founded by John Dwight in Fulham, London, in 1672. Dwight is recognized as the earliest clearly documented English maker of stoneware, and the pottery became an important early producer of salt-glazed stoneware and related ceramic wares. The manufactory is studied by historians and collectors of early English ceramics because it records experiments in stoneware and porcelain during the late seventeenth century.
