description Gate Ruler Overview
Gate Ruler is a trading card game created by Japanese designer Yoshimasa Ikeda and published by Daiyu. Its defining system gives each player one Ruler card whose rules set deck-construction limits and shape the opening setup and turn structure; the game also uses unit, event, field, set, resource, damage, and drive zones. Players use cards from these zones to attack an opposing Ruler and defend their own, with cards and abilities temporarily placed in a shared Gate area while they resolve. The first English products were released on April 30, 2021.
