description Gustaf Renvall Overview

Gustaf Renvall (1781-1841) was a Finnish clergyman, educator, and philologist whose work focused on the Finnish language. His Suomalainen Sana-Kirja, published in two parts in 1823 and 1826, was a Finnish-Latin-German dictionary based largely on western dialects and on the earlier lexicographic work of Christfrid Ganander.
