Henry Rollins is an American musician, actor, writer, and spoken word performer born in Washington, D.C. in 1961. He gained recognition as the vocalist for the hardcore punk band Black Flag, joining in 1981 after seeing the band perform and volunteering to audition. Following Black Flag's dissolution in 1986, Rollins formed the Rollins Band, which released several albums throughout the 1990s, including the commercially successful 'Weight' (1994).

Rollins has published numerous books through his own publishing company 2.13.61, hosts radio programs, and has appeared in films such as 'Heat' (1995) and 'Lost Highway' (1997).
