description Highway 61 Overview
Highway 61 is a 1991 Canadian independent road comedy directed by Bruce McDonald and written by McDonald and Don McKellar. McKellar plays Pokey Jones, a barber and aspiring musician who travels south from northern Ontario with Jackie Bangs and a corpse she claims is her brother. Their journey toward New Orleans combines deadpan comedy, blues mythology, border crossings, and an eccentric pursuer who says he is Satan.
