Infamous is a 2006 biographical drama film written and directed by Douglas McGrath that depicts Truman Capote's journey writing his true crime novel 'In Cold Blood.' The film stars Toby Jones as Capote, alongside an ensemble cast including Sandra Bullock as Harper Lee, Daniel Craig as murderer Perry Smith, and Jeff Daniels as Kansas investigator Al Dewey. Released one year after Bennett Miller's similarly-themed 'Capote' starring Philip Seymour Hoffman, Infamous places greater emphasis on Capote's social circle in New York high society and includes scenes of Capote interacting with celebrities at his famous Black and White Ball.
