Irish Poker

description Irish Poker Overview

Irish Poker is a community-card poker variant that begins with four private hole cards, giving the opening deal a resemblance to Omaha. After the flop betting round, each remaining player discards two hole cards and continues with two cards through the turn and river, using the normal Texas Hold'em method of forming the best five-card hand. Its defining feature is the required post-flop reduction from four private cards to two.
