description Jade Legacy Overview
Published by Orbit Books in 2021, Jade Legacy concludes Fonda Lee's Green Bone Saga with a story that spans several decades. The Kaul family leads a clan on the fictional island of Kekon, where jade grants trained users extraordinary physical abilities. Rival clan conflict remains important, but the passage of time brings aging and political transformation into the family's struggle for survival. Martial-arts fantasy combines with organized-crime drama and a multigenerational family saga.
Decisions made for immediate advantage can carry consequences into the lives of younger relatives, while changes beyond Kekon challenge established sources of power. The book's breadth allows it to examine what leadership costs over a lifetime rather than during a single crisis. It suits readers who have followed Jade City and Jade War and want a conclusion that gives personal relationships as much weight as the contest between powerful institutions.
