Jagged Alliance 2

Combat in Jagged Alliance 2 is turn-based on a tactical map where each mercenary has action points that govern movement, shooting, and item interactions. The game models realistic ballistics including bullet trajectory deviation, friendly fire, and penetration through cover. Each mercenary also has unique stats, skills, and personality traits that affect performance and morale in the field.

Jagged Alliance 2 was developed by Sir-Tech Canada and released in 1999 as the third installment in the series. The franchise has since passed through multiple developers and publishers, with Jagged Alliance 3, developed by Haemimont Games and published by THQ Nordic, released in 2023. Despite the newer entries, the 1999 original remains the most critically acclaimed and actively modded game in the series.
