Jørn Harald Hurum is a Norwegian vertebrate paleontologist and professor at the Natural History Museum of the University of Oslo. His research and fieldwork include Mesozoic marine reptiles from Svalbard, including plesiosaurs and ichthyosaurs, as well as Cretaceous mammals and dinosaurs. In 2009, he was one of the scientists who presented the Eocene primate fossil Darwinius masillae, known as Ida, to the public and scientific community.
