Kleman Dormance

The Kleman Dormance is a leather derby with open lacing and a substantial lugged sole. It belongs to Kleman's workwear range rather than being a lightweight dress shoe.

The Dormance is made in La Romagne, in Maine-et-Loire, France. French production is a central part of the model's identity and of Kleman's workwear positioning.

Its sturdy leather upper and deep lugged sole give it a heavier visual and physical construction than a traditional smooth-soled derby. The design works with denim, fatigue trousers, and other practical workwear clothing.

A derby uses open lacing, with the eyelet sections stitched on top of the vamp, while an Oxford uses closed lacing. The Kleman Dormance follows the derby construction and adds a rugged lug sole.
