description Loganopeltoides Overview

Loganopeltoides is an extinct genus of Cambrian trilobites in the family Harpididae, a group within the order Harpetida. Fossils attributed to the genus occur in Cambrian marine strata, including deposits in Kazakhstan and North America. Species such as Loganopeltoides zenkeri and Loganopeltoides proprius appear in regional trilobite assemblages used to correlate Cambrian rock units. The genus is closely related to Loganopeltis, but it is treated as a separate taxon.
